Mt Dew Green Label + Chuck Anderson

The flavour of Mt Dew just went up a few notches. They’ve put out a new series limited edition Green Label series bottles featuring a collaboration of various wicked artists including Chick Anderson- one of the ‘coolest’ out there in my book, known for his amazing use of light and colour for example…

Not only is Mt Dew changing it’s image up, the Pepsi brand has branched to music, launching a virtual record label dedicated to digital singles Green Label Sound. I think it’s a really cool idea and the Chicago hip-hop group Cool Kids are a sign of more good things to come.

You don’t have to look very far until you come across a blog featuring Obama these days! I’ve seen a LOT of really amazing contributions to the campaign but I think this is my favourite by far and couldn’t help myself.

I found this on Notcot.

Micro Machines

January 21, 2009

It takes a little while to believe that these amazing tilt shift videos of Keith Loutit’s are real. One would be forgiven for thinking this was a stop frame animation of micro machines! I’d never heard of this cool technique until I found some of Loutit’s work on Vimeo. There are some more fantastic examples in HD here. Enjoy!

Really nice art direction in this Purell print campaign I found at adsoftheworld.com. I really like how the same concept is cleverly portrayed accross various illustration techniques.

“His name is Puño. He was born in Madrid in 1978, live in Paris and he is a drawer. He draw for books, for press and for publicity. That’s how he earn his living. He makes photographies and write about things too, but that doesn’t give him so much money. He like the city. He like the cities. That’s why he usually travel a lot. Travel and draw. And this doesn’t give him so much money either.”

This guy has a sweet style of illustrating, heaps more good stuff here.

Some interesting photography by Asger Carlsen. I love the surreal and dreamlike nature he captures in his photos.

Where the Wild Things Are

Woah, such an epic childhood book comes to life in 2009! Spike Jones is working on an adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story set to be on the big screen later this year. These shots are amazing. If I’m not mistaken, I get the feeling it will be filmed in New Zealand.
